Leagues

Playing a league night tournament is a great way to make new friends and to help take your game to the next level. Whether you are a casual ‘once in a while’ player or a hardcore ‘every chance you get’ player, the weekly league night tournaments at both courses offer an excellent opportunity to meet and play with other golfers of both comparable and higher skill levels. Whether you see it as an opportunity to make new friends and improve your game or a chance to play and compete with some of the areas best and most experienced golfers, players of all ages and skill levels stand to benefit from playing a couple of fun and challenging courses with other people who also consider disc golf to be a true sport.

Both leagues are inexpensive. Amateurs and Pros all pay a $6 entry fee (per round). $1 of each entry goes toward the PDGA sanction fee, which allows all players to track their scores and round ratings on the PDGA website and for due-paying PDGA members, it allows each round to count toward your player points and rating as 1 C-Tier tournament round. Both leagues offer multiple divisions for each tournament. The Pro Division pays out in cash prizes and Amateur Divisions pay out in ‘club cash’. Club Cash can be redeemed for discs and other merchandise at any time; spend it as you get it, for that new disc you’ve been wanting to try (or replace) or save it up for bigger items that we can order for you like: bags, baskets, apparel, etc.

Johnson Street Tuesday Weekly:
This tournament runs every Tuesday night, April to August. Tee Off is at 6:00 PM, so be sure to get there early enough to register beforehand. Payout for everyone is based off raw score, so this tournament is broken down into multiple divisions based on skill of play. There are many divisions to choose from, usually including Professional, Advanced, Recreational, and an age restricted (40+) Master’s division. Tee configurations will vary from week-to-week depending on weather and daylight available but over the course of the summer all tee pads will be played in multiple combinations. Come on out and join the fun!

Barber Park Thursday Weekly:
This tournament runs every Thursday night, April to August. Tee Off is at 6:00 PM. Be sure to get there early enough to register beforehand. Payout for the Pro division is based on raw score and the Amateur division features a handicap format. Each player’s handicap is based on their most recent 4 rounds and handicaps are initially established after a player has completed 3 rounds on this course. This allows all Amateurs to play in one large division since each player is really competing against his/her own personal handicap. No matter what your skill level, you can compete and stand a chance to ‘cash’!
