Spots are limited so sign up now if you want to play this weekend. Lunch will be provided in cost of entry and there are choices of entree, side, etc on the registration form at DGU.
SPONSORS! The final amount from our sponsors have come through! I’ve received final confirmation of the amounts, and we will have $500 added cash to BOTH the PRO and the AM divisions! That’s $1000 total for a C-tier event! HUUUUUUGE Thank you goes out to The Von Drehle Corporation, Community One, and OF COURSE the Jones von Drehle winery! Please thank the owners of the property for letting us have this event, and there will be someone from both of the other sponsorsIn addition to the beefed up payout, all Pros will be receiving a customized Jones von Drehle wine key, a glass of wine (or soda if under 21), and the catered lunch as part of their entry! All Ams will be receiving the JvD wine key, glass of wine (or soda if under 21), a $9 voucher to use in the tasting room OR Discover Disc Golf merchandise tent, and the catered lunch as part of their entry!
SPECTATORS: Spouses/Family/Friends are more than welcome to come to this event, and it is highly encouraged. There’s great property, views, and wine to share. However, there aren’t many other lunch options, so either have them come prepared, OR go ahead and register them today in the “Spectator” division on DGU. This will allow you to pick lunch options for them at a $10 cost.
PRACTICE DAY – Is open for anyone – THIS SATURDAY starting at 11:00 and running until 6:00. If you show up before 11:00, you’ll be put to work helping set up the course! EVERYONE must pay $5 for the day and sign a waiver to receive the wristband to play.
COURSE: If you played last year, the course is very similar with a couple changes that will make for a better course layout. I’ve attached the map that will be printed on your player sheet that you will receive at check-in on Sunday (please print or use electronically if you would like it for Saturday).
PAYOUT: We have added cash for this event that will be split evenly between the Amateur and Professional divisions (split 50/50, then divided evenly among divisions based on number of players). I’m still waiting for the final numbers from the winery, but it will be well above the minimum required for a C tier tournament. The Pro payout will (of course) be in cash. The Amateur payout will be in merchandise vouchers that can be used in one of two places: the winery (yes, you can buy wine with your payout) OR the Discover Disc Golf store that will be set up on the property.
Timing/Address/Information can all be found on the flyer at Disc Golf United
